Welcome to BEskincareful.
I have always felt there was a connection between health and beauty and that what we put on our bodies is just as important as what we put in them and training as a make up artist further convinced me to be aware of what we use on our skin. It is my job to look after the skin of the actors or models I work with and I like to know what is in the products I use in my kit.

I think many of the synthetic chemicals in our cosmetics (and also household products) have the potential to cause us harm and where alternatives are available I prefer to opt for natural/clean and organic. I also try to include natural products as much as possible in my working kit to help spread the word. I admit I don't use 100% natural, 100% of the time, it's hard to resist a gorgeous Chanel product at the best of times. But I like to minimise exposure to anything that could cause harm. For a list of the regulars I NEVER use, see the Hit List page.

I am no expert but I am a talker and I want to share what I find out as I explore the issues surrounding natural skincare.

Thanks for reading!

(Did I mention I really love Pugs. Meet Louis. He's the best.)
